Aspiring to become an actress, she performed on stage from 1999 and made her debut on the small screen in 2002, appearing notably in the series Don Matteo and in the television film Young Casanova. Originally from Sardinia, Caterina Murino began a career as a model after winning fourth place in the Miss Italy competition in 1996.
